AxFlow Strengthens Market Position in Australia with Acquisition of Superior Pump Technologies

Wednesday, October 2, 2024

AxFlow, a global leader in fluid handling solutions, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Superior Pump Technologies (SPT), a renowned Australian pump and service provider. This strategic acquisition will bolster AxFlow’s presence in the drilling, mining, oil, food & beverage, and water/wastewater sectors in Australia while also significantly enhancing its service and repair capabilities across the region.

Superior Pump Technologies is a certified SPX Flow repair centre and the only facility in Australia accredited for the Waukesha Cherry-Burrell (an SPX Flow brand). With a fully equipped workshop for high-quality aftermarket services, SPT will complement AxFlow’s existing service offerings, particularly by adding workshop and field-based repair capacity. SPT specializes in pump repair using original manufacturers' specifications, high-pressure cleaning of parts with environmentally responsible waste disposal, and both in-house and on-site pump repairs and services as well as pump condition monitoring.

In addition to its comprehensive service offerings, SPT supplies several leading international brands to the Australian market, including SPX Flow products such as Waukesha Cherry-Burrell, APV, Bran + Luebbe, Johnson Pump and Technip FMC (Pumps, Flowline, Invalco).

“The acquisition supports our strategic focus on expanding service capabilities and aligns with AxFlow’s long-standing relationship with SPX Flow, particularly in Europe, where AxFlow has supplied SPX Flow products for decades,” said Michael Briggs, Managing Director AxFlow in Australia, and added. “We are excited to welcome SPT to the AxFlow Group. This is a significant step in our journey to becoming the leading provider of fluid handling solutions in Australia.”

Victor Rokhlin, General Manager of Superior Pump Technologies, added, "Joining the AxFlow Group marks an exciting new chapter in SPT's growth journey. By combining the strengths of both companies, we’ll be able to foster innovation, improve operational efficiency, and offer even greater value to our customers."
