Storm water duties can require the transfer of very large volumes of water at low differential heads. In many situations pumps are situated in shallow water courses and in brackish water.
Gruppo Aturia invented submersible borehole pumps and in conjunction with their high flow submersible pumps can discharge up to 144,000 m3/hr and heads of over 200 m. A range of materials is available to cope with the characteristics of river water, estuary water and fenland water.
