Nitric Acid pumps is best pumped using either 316 stainless steel or Hastelloy. Technopolymers offer good chemical resistance; materials such as Polypropylene, PVDF and ETFE, are recommended for concentrations of over 50%. Viton and PTFE are the most resistant elastomers to use for nitric acid.
