316L Stainless Steel Pumps

316L (CF3M when cast) Stainless Steel pumps are the low carbon version of 316 pumps, the austenitic structure also gives these pumps excellent toughness, even at cryogenic temperatures. It has excellent corrosion rates even in atmospheric environments. 316L pumps can be used for both hot and cold pumping, it isn’t hardened in responses to heat treatments however it can be hardened by cold workings which can also result in increased strength. Typical applications include: food preparation pumps especially where chloride is used, pharmaceutical industries and in marine applications.
