CA6NM Steel

Ca6NM is a martensitic stainless steel; as such it has higher strength characteristics than austenitic stainless steels such as 316 but lower corrosion resistance. Their lower alloy content makes them less expensive but harder to machine. As a result Ca6NM is often used for pump casings inparticular when a high system pressure is required.
