Hastelloy Pumps
AxFlow UK has a large number of hastelloy pumps for process applications
Hastelloy is a Nickel-chromium-molybdenum wrought alloy that is considered the most versatile corrosion resistant alloy available. The most common grade of Hastelloy used in the manufacture of pumps is Hastelloy C276 which has excellent resistance to pitting, stress-corrosion cracking and oxidizing atmospheres and can with stand high temerpatures.
Being a nickel based alloy as opposed to iron Hastelloy is often used as the rear housing for mag drive pumps such as the NDM range as it also redcues the magnetic losses.
