ATEX
As of July 2003, organisations in the European Union must follow the directives to protect employees from explosion risk in areas with an explosive atmosphere. Electrical equipment used in hasardous locations of manufacturers who intent to market their products in the European Union must, therefore, comply with the ATEX directive.
