Chemical Mixing in Wastewater Treatment
Chemical aids such as adsorbents, flocculants, and defoamers are strategically used in the wastewater treatment process to accelerate treatment procedures. For economic reasons, these aids are typically added in a continuous process, where they are precisely dosed and efficiently mixed using static mixing technology. This enables more economical and sustainable wastewater treatment.
Static Inline Mixer in Wastewater Treatment
For the continuous introduction and efficient mixing of chemicals, particularly polymer-based flocculants, in wastewater treatment, the Kenics UltraTap series static inline mixers are suitable. The mixing technology is available in sizes from DN50 to DN1500 and can be customized with up to three injection nozzles depending on the application. The flow-optimized, V-shaped mixing element ensures minimal pressure loss and achieves a coefficient of variation of 0.05 CoV immediately after the introduction of chemicals. The material selection includes stainless steel and epoxy-coated C-steel, complemented by additional material options to meet individual requirements.
