Description
The electric double diaphragm pumps of the COGNITO series combine the positive pumping characteristics of air-operated diaphragm pumps with greater energy efficiency and, at the same time, offer decisive advantages thanks to the integration of analysis and monitoring functions, as well as various safety features.
The self-priming and safe dry-running EODD pumps are designed for pumping viscous and abrasive media and allow a flow rate of up to 800 l/min and a maximum delivery pressure of up to 8 bar. They are available in robust, corrosion-resistant housing materials, aluminium and stainless steel. The pumps are equipped with patented extra-large diaphragm discs as standard. These reduce the stroke length required during the suction and displacement process, which extends the life of the diaphragm and improves the energy efficiency of the pump. In addition, the hardened stainless steel valve seats, in combination with the valve balls used, enable the non-blocking pumping of abrasive media with a particle size of up to 9 mm.
IoT connectivity in combination with the company's own COGNITOsmartINSIGHTS software enables real-time monitoring and data logging, regardless of location. This allows the state of process technology to be continuously monitored, analysed and optimised.
Integrated sensors inside the transport chamber detect leaks in the event of a membrane rupture. In this case, the double sealing system prevents the pumped liquid from entering the centrally positioned pump drive unit.
