Direct Injection Steam Heater

Direct steam heater for sterilization by direct injection of steam into the liquid medium stream.

System Description

The unit is used for in-line mixing; with one pass of the liquid, this medium is heated from the initial to the desired temperature. The liquid flows through a nozzle in the mixer. In this nozzle, steam is drawn in through the holes on the sides of the nozzle and the two streams are mixed in a static mixer. In this mixer, the steam condenses and the intense heat transfer occurs, which also effectively sterilises the medium.
