Challenge:
To remove repair and re-install the pump which suffered from a range of problems including cavitation, errosion and corrosion damage of the propellers shafts and sleeves. Allen Gwynnes pumps are no longer manufactured so spare parts are no longer available.
Work Carried Out:
- One propeller was repaired and reshaped.
- The second had to be completely re-cast.
- Sleeves fitted to pump housing to maintain orginal clearances.
