Its commonly used for cold room seals as it is an insulator and has excellent low temperature tolerence, it operates effectively and efficienlty in temperatures ranging from -45C to 145C, making it one of the most popular seal options for cold environemnts. or with cold materials. EPDM also has a range of chemical resistances including hot water, steam, detergents, caustic solutions, sodium hydroxide solutions, silicone oils.
EPDM can be availble in versions that comply with FDA 21 CFR 177 standards. Its frequently used within pharmaceutical, food, paint and coating industries.
