Material selection is key as the corrosive properties of sulphuric acid change quite dramatically depending upon its concentration and temperature. Low concentrations can be resisted by a range of pump materials whereas medium concentrations require plastics such as PVDF and ETFE. When the concentrations get above 95% some stainless steels can be used once again.
